Ocean Explorer's 360 filming has started........

At last! After nearly 18 months of planning, a global pandemic and numerous lock downs and Zoom meetings we finally started filming for our Protect our Playground Ocean Explorers education series.

Building on the success of our existing VR education programme, and thanks to funding from North Devon AONB, we are making a series of immersive films that will, quite literally, take you on a journey from moor to coast along the River Torridge, on an against-the-clock mission to explore the alien world of rockpools and on a dive with the seals at Lundy!

Hot on the heels of launching her new charity, Seaful, our friend, explorer, conservationist and ocean advocate Cal Major made time in her hectic schedule to spend spent the day filming as our presenter.

Devon-based 360 wildlife film makers Rose Summers and Emily Bailey are leading the project, coming up with creative ideas to engage the audience and exploit all of the opportunities offered by 360 film technology.

It was a great day, with lots of laughter, wet feet and a lot of time lying behind rocks to stay out of the 360 shot. And by the end of it we had captured some great footage. We had a quick play with one of the headsets we hope to use and it was mind blowing. We can't wait to share it with you and see your reactions!
Lots more filming to be done and you might see us out and about peering into rockpools and streams. So do come and say 'hello', unless it looks we're hiding from the camera, in which case, wait until you can hear laughter again.

We can t wait to share this with you!
