Job Title: PFND Team Bookkeeper & Administrator
Reports to: Operations Manager: Anne-Marie Eveleigh
Location: Home/office based. Braunton
Hours: 10-12 hours per week
Salary: Between £12- £14 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Permanent - Part time
Charity Purpose:
Plastic Free North Devon (PFND) is a local environmental charity on a mission to protect and improve our environment through community led action. We aim to connect people with their natural surroundings through conversations, education and events to ensure residents and visitors alike want to protect what our very existence depends on. We want to see radical transformation towards a healthier and more informed relationship with the environment.
Role Purpose:
To ensure smooth running of the PFND team office by providing administrative support to the CEO, Operations Manager, staff and volunteers.
Your duties will include:
General bookkeeping tasks: filing receipts, maintaining petty cash, sending and paying invoices and budget tracking
Monthly Payroll
Managing, replying and distributing queries that come into PFND for help, advice or resource via the PFND email address
Maintaining and organising all PFND contacts list for mailing list and stakeholders
Maintaining documentation and administration on all our live projects, events, community cleans, volunteers and supporters
Provide administrative support for internal and external meetings for staff and trustees including writing and distributing minutes
Providing administrative support for recruitment of new employees and volunteers
Assisting with website admin: collating images, adding events and blogs and updating text
Purchasing items for all projects, events and the office.
Maintaining and organising PFND filing systems
General office maintenance
Person specification
Detailed knowledge of Excel and experience using accounts packages ideally XERO
Ability to be adaptable and able to work efficiently with a small team in a busy office
Organised and proactive in identifying ways to improve PFND systems
Be experienced and capable in admin related software (google drive, spreadsheets and databases)
Ability to take initiative and get stuck in
Ability to deal with confidential information sensitively
Be passionate about protecting and improving our environment
