Looking for something a little different to do with the family this February half term?
The National Trust’s Woolacombe Ranger Team are holding a bash and burn family volunteering session on Thursday 16 February, 10am- 3pm.
Join them on Woolacombe dunes and down, parking at Marine Drive car park, to get your hands on a bowsaw and get stuck in removing gorse opening the area up creating space for a more diverse range of plant species to inhabit.
No age limit, although some tasks may not be suitable for very small hands. All training and safety equipment are given, simply show up in sturdy shoes, appropriate old clothing, and with lots of energy and water!
Please park along Marine Drive car park, looking out for the ranger team in red - we will be working somewhere near the Porthole café. No need to come for the whole day, you can drop in for as little as half an hour.
