Colour in the margins - talk

  • Braunton Countryside Centre Caen Street Car Park, Caen Street, Braunton, EX33 1AA (map)

Colour in the margins – saving our arable weeds.

Join us for a fascinating evening at the Countryside Centre. Discover the hidden beauty of arable weeds and learn why they are crucial for our environment. This event will bring together experts and enthusiasts to discuss the importance of these often overlooked plants. Get ready to explore their vibrant colours and understand their role in supporting biodiversity.

The cultural connections between people and weeds is fascinating as well as the dependence these rare species have upon disturbance. This habitat is like none other in the UK. Hannah’s talk will focus on the activities of the Colour in the Margins project, rare arable plants and arable plant management. How all arable fields really could provide more colour and far more wildlife value than they do currently.
