Christmas Jumper Swap: Bring along your Chrismas Jumpers to swap too!

However, as we rely on the help of volunteers, sometimes we may only be able to offer textile repairs - please email us at least 48 hours before the event (to give us a chance to see your message and get back to you) to ask if a particular item can be repaired.

👉Please note:

We are not a professional repair service, so please don’t bring us ‘fancy’ repairs like wedding dresses - just drop us a message if you’re not sure.

☕We will also be serving cake and hot drinks to keep you refreshed while you watch and learn.

🧵If you are unsure on whether to bring an item or not - please email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org and we will run it by our sewing stars to see what we can do.

🧵Donations are welcome but not expected.

🧵We'd rather you didn't drop and run (unless you have to) - this event is about building community connection and sharing skills.

🧵 Can't make this one?

🙋VOLUNTEER WITH US

We are always on the lookout for a few more volunteers, either to share their mending skills at the Cafes or to help out behind the scenes and welcome people on the day. You don’t need to be a professional seamstress or upholsterer or mechanic to volunteer - just someone with some basic skills who is happy to share what they know. There is no pressure to undertake any repairs that you are not confident with.

Please get in touch info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org if you would like to get involved.

If you are an individual or community group interested in setting up or becoming involved with a Repair Cafe in your own town or village, please get in touch with us: info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org
