Come along any time 10am-1pm at The YMCA on Mill Street, South Molton.
Textiles repairs - Such as replacing zips and buttons (bring your own zips and buttons), darning teddy bears, simple alterations, visible darning
Simple carpentry repairs
Soldering and other small electrical repairs
PLUS the opportunity to make "MorsBags!" with Mandy from South Molton Scrap Store
These are both drop in events, so come along anytime!
Please note:
We are not a professional repair service, so please don’t bring us ‘fancy’ repairs like wedding dresses - just drop us a message if you’re not sure.
If you are unsure on whether to bring an item or not - please email info@plasticfreenorthdevon.org and we will run it by our sewing stars to see what we can do.
Donations are welcome but not expected.
We'd rather you didn't drop and run (unless you have to) - this event is about building community connection and sharing skills.

VOLUNTEER WITH US
We are always on the lookout for a few more volunteers, either to share their mending skills at the Cafes or to help out behind the scenes and welcome people on the day. You don’t need to be a professional seamstress or upholsterer or mechanic to volunteer - just someone with some basic skills who is happy to share what they know. There is no pressure to undertake any repairs that you are not confident with.

THANKS AND FUTURE PLANS
Plastic Free North Devon are building on the success of their original Braunton Repair Cafes, thanks to funding from the National Lottery Together For Our Planet Community Fund, and supporting North Devon towns and villages to get their own Repair Cafes up and running. PFND are also members of the National Repair Cafe Network. There are currently Repair Cafes in Braunton, Landkey, Ilfracombe, and Barnstaple.
